| The Roman Amphitheatre: a prestigious legacy | | The roman amphitheatre is considered one of the most important sites in the city and in Lebanon. The amphitheatre was transformed into a theatre and auditorium for big events especially for the Zouk Mikaël’s international festival in the summer.
The theatre presents important dimensions with a great outdoor scene: 22.75 m/12 m with a backstage (50 m2) that can be modified according to the needs (it can reach 234m2). The scene is covered with woods which will allow achieving a great resonance during musical performances. The scene is a 1.15m above the first range of seats in order to allow a panoramic view and a barrier against any public turmoil.
The sound and light system is fully equipped and is organized in the underground in order to fix any upcoming problem without disturbing the artist or the public. Two motor generators are set and prepared against any power cut.
The loges of the artists are divided into two complexes: three loges for the star and two for the band. The loges adjoin the conference and waiting rooms.
All the public’s needs are provided: food and beverage (cafeterias and terraces for a coffee break), W.C., etc.
Four tickets offices, fitted with a computerized system of information, as well as receptions and lockers, will assure a service of a high level of quality.
The parking (15 000 m2) will guarantee a road security. And in the surrounding area of the amphitheatre, facilities for walkers and shuttles will be provided to those who parked very far. |
